Welcome to Prairie Ridge!
There are over 1300 owners of a recreation hall, a community service center, approximately six miles of greenbelts,
two developed park with baseball diamonds and basketball courts. All owners are also members of the Homeowners’
Association known as “Prairie Ridge Maintenance Co.” that is responsible for managing these commonly-held properties.
Please be sure to read the copy of the Articles of Incorporation and Covenants, together with the Bylaws of Prairie Ridge.
If you haven’t received a copy, please contact the office and request a handbook to be mailed to you. We would ask your
cooperation in honoring the speed limit of 25 miles per hour within Prairie Ridge boundaries, and in keeping your music
volume down so that it doesn’t vibrate the walls of neighboring homes. If you have children, we host three parties a year
and offer youth activities throughout the year. All of the events listed above will be written up in the bi-monthly news bulletin
or you may contact the offices for more information. 360-897-8378.
All owners of lots in Prairie Ridge are subject to annual assessments. Please note that non-payment of the assessment
results in a lien on the real property, foreclosable in the same manner as a mortgage. Our fiscal year runs from May 1
through April 30 and billings are mailed out during the month of April each year, with a payment due by the end of May.
The annual assessment funds are used to maintain the commonly-held properties, pay the light bill for the streetlights in
Prairie Ridge, and maintain liability insurance on the common-held assets. There are 2 full time employees, the corporate
secretary and the groundskeeper and 2 part time, the corporate assistant and summer maintenance assistant.. We would
welcome a visit to the office so that we might show you around the recreation hall and answer any questions that you might
have about the area.
We have full sets of the plat maps of Prairie Ridge, showing your lot size and that of the greenbelt adjacent to your lot, if
applicable. Copies can be purchased at $.05 per page; faxes can be sent for $1.00 per page. We have a vending machine
in the recreation hall that dispenses pop and candy. Notary services are available at no cost to members in good standing
(your assessments are paid in full). To learn more about the community, be sure to read the bi-monthly news bulletin and
attend the monthly Board meetings on the 1st Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Very Truly Yours,
Robert Ferguson, President
Board of Trustees
